We investigated the food desert phenomenon where members within these desserts have limited access to fresh and affordable food, which put them in a vulnerable position for health issues such as obesity and diabetes.

We collaborated with a team from the City of St. Paul throughout the project, receiving access to a vast amount of opensource city data. We investigated and collected external data sources for market locations, bus routes, bus route segments between bus stops, bus frequency, and travel time.

My primary responsibility was design and front-end development. I explored various layouts, colors, and iconography. Size, shape, saturation, and hue, were all used through to bring visual consistency as well as contrast between elements.
